Meg Rotzel: Drawings in Clay and Ink

April 18 – May 16, 2026

Rotzel’s work evokes mysteries. Her sculptures hold meanings that defy explanation—as if they were symbols or ephemera from ancient pagan rituals. The surfaces are raw and immediate—finger marks remain, the hand fully present—giving the work a kind of directness that feels almost naive. The accompanying ink drawings extend this language in a more immediate, but equally open-ended way. Throughout, there is a quiet insistence on aliveness.
