PRESENCE features works by Maggie Stark, Pat Shannon, Christopher Schade, and Virgilijs Tilks. Each artist draws attention to the relationship between time and objecthood; each finding what lingers in gestures, shapes and shadows. Through video loops and visual overlays, text-based performance, multimedia sculpture, and large-form painting, PRESENCE docks into liminal realms. We invite viewers to consider the perpetual mooring and unmooring of physical reality to memory; the visible and invisible; the otherworld that is just beyond grasp.
