The release of Douglas Weathersby’s Environmental Services 2022 Log Book celebrates the artist’s commitment to rigorous and attentive documentation spanning over thirteen years. Since 2009, Doug has captured his daily worksites and home repair projects through insightful photographs and log entries. Functioning somewhere between business invoices and personal journals, Doug’s annual compilations have become steadfast anthologies of his vision to close the gap between art and life. In honor of his 2022 Log Book Release, Doug constructed an immersive, one-night installation featuring a collection of sculptures made from found materials, a logbook library, and two viewer-operated slideshows projected onto peeled paint with vintage carousel projectors.
